We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Construction Manager/ Resident Engineer to join our Rail, Transit & Systems Group. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily construction and field coordination activities across a range of active and upcoming infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will act as the owner's representative on-site, ensuring that contractors meet all technical, safety, and quality standards. You will manage project reporting, monitor work progress, lead construction meetings, and ensure the successful delivery of complex systems including traction power, SCADA, communications, OCS, and related technologies. As our company expands into high-growth areas such as renewable energy systems and mission-critical data center infrastructure, this role offers continued advancement and exposure to cutting-edge engineering environments.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, or construction management, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure systems construction. Strong familiarity with transit/rail systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret construction and engineering documentation are required. Preferred candidates will hold a California Professional Engineer (PE) license or have the ability to obtain one, and certifications such as PMP or CCM are a strong plus. Prior experience on FRA or FTA-regulated projects is highly desirable.

We are currently hiring a Senior Electrical / Traction Power Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and integration of complex traction power systems within our transit, rail, and growing data center and renewable energy portfolios. This position requires strong technical leadership and the ability to oversee the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure systems, from concept through construction. Key responsibilities include the development of traction power substation designs, coordination with SCADA and signaling systems, and close collaboration with field, utility, and permitting stakeholders.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and have at least 3 years of professional experience working on power distribution or traction power systems. A deep understanding of standards such as AREMA, IEEE, NFPA 130, and the NEC is expected. Experience in technical specification writing, construction document development, and software tools such as ETAP or SKM is also important. Candidates with a Professional Engineer (PE) license will be strongly preferred, and prior involvement with transit agencies such as LA Metro, Caltrain, or MBTA is considered a plus.

You will work closely with senior engineers to prepare construction documents, perform basic calculations, assist in field inspections, and contribute to the advancement of clean transportation and renewable energy systems.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and between one and three years of relevant experience, including internships. A strong foundation in electrical theory and the ability to learn design software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms are important. Applicants with an EIT certification or who are on the path toward a PE license are encouraged to apply. Exposure to rail or utility projects is helpful, but not required.
